The Affordable Housing Network
The Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) is a membership organization. In becoming a member of SHIP's Affordable Housing Network, you and your organization are joining a network that works to address problems in our community related to the availability and provision of affordable housing.
SHIP will provide you and your organization with access to useful information about affordable housing and keep you up-to-date about upcoming events as well as the initiatives of SHIP. As a member of SHIP's Affordable housing Network you will also be invited to attend SHIP's Annual General Meeting which takes place in conjunction with National Housing Day.

Up-to-date information about announcements and initiatives that will have an impact on affordable housing in Saskatoon.
Receive Notices and Invitations to Attend Affordable Housing Events
Affordable housing events co-hosted by SHIP have included the National Affordable Home Ownership Conference and various National Housing Day events. Members will also receive a discounted registration and admission for these events.
Be Included in SHIP’s Online Membership Directory
Affordable housing proponents, community-based organizations, builders, renovators, and service providers will all benefit from becoming members of SHIP’s Affordable Housing Network. SHIP’s membership directory will be a useful resource for groups and organizations that want to develop affordable housing in Saskatoon by providing them with a list of demonstrated professionals that can help them work to increase the supply of affordable housing in Saskatoon.
Be Invited to Participate in Various Affordable Housing Initiatives
SHIP works with a variety of organizations and groups pursuing the development of affordable housing. Members will be informed and invited to participation with of community members and professionals throughout each phase of development when necessary.
Demonstrate Support for Affordable Housing Initiatives in Our Community
SHIP assists organizations, housing providers, clients, builders, investors, home buyers and renters with their affordable housing needs and projects. Membership will demonstrate your support for affordable housing initiatives in our community and allow you the opportunity to network with other groups, organizations and individuals involved in the provision of affordable housing in Saskatoon. Eligibility
Membership is open to all individuals, businesses, groups, associations, corporations and organizations that share a vested interest in the goals, objectives and philosophies of SHIP. Upon acceptance membership, members will be entitled to a single vote at the Annual General meeting of SHIP Corporation. Individuals or representatives of member-organizations are also entitled to stand as a Director of the Corporation. Directors are elected at the Annual General Meeting and stand for a two-year term.
Approval of Membership is Subject to the Following:
The current year's membership fee is $100.00 for organizations and $15.00 for individuals. Payment is to accompany the membership application. Current year includes August 1, 2010 to July 31, 2011. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit to Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership.
The Board of Directors of the Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership has the right to refuse an application, or request additional information. Should an application be refused, the membership fee shall be returned to applicant.
Application Information
To become a member of SHIP's Affordable Housing Network, interested parties are required to fill out a membership application. The Board of Directors must then approve the application for membership. Please fill out the following for and return the application, along with payment, to the Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership.
